is the best

My mom is the greatest person I’ve ever met.

Not because she tells people she is.

Not because she wants recognition.

Not because she’s perfect.

My mom gives when it’s inconvenient.

She heals when people need it most.

She works toward her goals without waiting for permission.

And somehow, every time I tell her I’ve already eaten too many cookies, she makes more anyway.

The older I get, the more I realize how much of who I am came from her.

She gave me life.

But more importantly, she showed me how to live it.
