dressing for meaning

This is what I’m wearing today:

• Socks from Coachella

• Hand-me-down fishing pants that traveled the world with me

• A vintage Pink Floyd shirt with too many memories to count

• A turtle bracelet from my mom

• Crocs that were a work gift

Sometimes I think about how items pick up energy from where they’ve been.
Like every piece carries a little story.

I like to dress in experienced clothing.

Is that materialism?

Nah.

Materialism = “stuff gives me value.”
Meaning-making = “I give stuff meaning.”
